It’s a new uptick in disturbing behaviour from LG which has seen it breaching customers’ privacy by selling user behaviour to advertisers without consent. David Richards over at SmartHouse has been covering this issue for some time and I recommend reading about his investigation, here. However, this is the first time I’ve seen the issue manifest on my own, three-year-old TV without warning and there will likely be other people in a similar situation.
I’ve reached out to LG for comment but let us know if you’ve been similarly affected.
